# Connectivity and Linked Signers

Use this page when a wallet connection or linked signer does not work.

## Wallet Connection

Use a wallet that supports:

* The selected Meridian network.
* EIP-712 typed-data signatures.
* Network switching for custom EVM chains.
* EIP-1271 if the owner is a smart-contract wallet.

If the wallet cannot connect:

1. Confirm that the app URL is an official Meridian URL.
2. Disconnect Meridian from the wallet's connected-site list.
3. Reload the application.
4. Reconnect the wallet.
5. Approve the requested network switch.

If the problem continues, clear the site data or use another compatible desktop wallet. Some mobile wallets and exchange wallets do not support custom networks or all EIP-712 requests.

## One-Click Trading

One-click trading uses a linked signer. If it stops working:

1. Open the linked-signer settings.
2. Check the signer's `expiresAt` value.
3. Extend or refresh the signer if it is in the renewal window.
4. Revoke the signer and create a new key if the old key is lost or invalid.

Cancel the signer's working orders before you revoke it.

## Common Linked-Signer Errors

* **Wrong subaccount**: a signer is valid for only the subaccount to which it is linked.
* **Expired signer**: extend an active signer or refresh it with the owner wallet.
* **Quota reached**: revoke an unneeded signer or wait for the quota window to reset.
* **Reused address**: a revoked signer address cannot be linked again. Generate a new key.
* **Owner address used as signer**: a signer cannot already own a subaccount.

## Withdrawal Authority

A linked signer cannot authorize a withdrawal. The wallet that owns the account must sign the withdrawal request.

See [Accounts and Signers](/developer-guides/trading-api/accounts-and-signers) for all signer endpoints and restrictions.
