# Predictions

A **pick** is a single question paired with the outcome you expect. For example, "Will BTC exceed $100k by July 1?" → *Yes*. A **prediction** is one or more picks combined with a stake.

## Singles

The simplest prediction is one pick and a stake:

* **Pick:** "Will BTC exceed $100k by July 1?" → *Yes*
* **Size:** 50 USDe

If the question resolves *Yes*, you win. If it resolves *No*, you lose your stake.

## Combos

You can also combine several picks into a single prediction. A combo wins only if *every* pick resolves correctly. If *any* pick is wrong, the whole prediction loses.

* **Pick 1:** "Team A wins" → *Yes*
* **Pick 2:** "Turnout ≥ 60%" → *Yes*

Both picks must resolve correctly for this prediction to pay out.

Because all picks must be correct, a combo is harder to win than any single pick, but it typically pays more. See [Odds](/trading/predictions/odds-and-payouts) for more information.

:::warning
A combo is all-or-nothing. Getting most of the picks right still results in a loss if even one pick is wrong, or if any pick resolves non-decisively. See [Resolution & Settlement](/trading/predictions/resolution-and-settlement).
